Napa Valley Train

Welcome aboard the Napa Valley Train! An experience straight out of an Agatha Cristi novel. The trains themselves are from the 1920s and refurbished into a mobile fine dining restaurant. They serve lunch and dinner while you tour 3-hours around Napa county.

My mom, sister and brother are visiting from out of town, and we wanted to try something different. It seemed ideal: less stress, no walking, lots of food and plenty of wine, what more could one ask for? We enjoyed it a lot, and since the train was very slow you could enjoy the landscape. There was also a wine tasting
compartment but we did not bother going there anymore. After all the complimentary wine and the motion of the train, you feel a little whoozy.

In the photo below, you can see the gorgeous salmon we ate, served with a little caviar, capers, olives and whipped cream. Desert was a vanilla creme brulee. I gained 10 pounds just looking at it. The cuisine was first class, and the ride picturesque. A good way to spend an afternoon and approximately $80.

Finally...

... a decent portait of me and my husband, taken by my sister Rachel at Muir Woods, CA. I set up the lighting, she pressed the shutter. I'm always behind the camera that by looking at our family portraits, you'd think my son was an orphan. Well, finally here's photographic proof I exist!

Back in the Saddle Again...

*drumroll please* Presenting my first professional portrait pictorial in six months! I couldn't have asked for better models, lighting conditions and background. Everything just worked out seamlessly. More photos can be found here.

My new photography business name is ::photograffiti:: I am currently constructing my business website and it's exciting to be doing something FOR ME again. It felt invigorating to be working again, capturing those toothy grins and chubby yummy baby feet. Thanks Ella and Julz for helping me rediscover myself again.
